Though auto insurance in Saskatchewan is mandatory on every registered vehicle in Saskatchewan, sometimes the basic plate insurance isn't enough.

In most cases, with basic plate insurance you get:

  • $700 deductible
  • $200,000 in liability protection

An SGI CANADA Auto Pak provides increased liability coverage, lower deductibles, access to rental vehicles, glass repairs and will even pay to replace your brand new vehicle if it's totalled. And, as a Saskatchewan resident you get basic injury coverage, but Auto Pak enhances your injury coverage like income benefits.

Pay as little as $10 per month for added liability coverage, lower deductibles and many other additional benefits. It's a small price to pay for such great protection.

In short: It's good insurance!

Do you need an Auto Pak?

Ask yourself these questions:

Do you travel outside Saskatchewan?

Then you may require more liability insurance as you're at greater risk of being sued or getting into an accident with an underinsured driver - especially if you travel in the U.S where insurance minimums can be as low as $25,000.

Do you drive on rural highways or grid roads?

With Auto Pak, your deductible is waived if you hit wildlife; and if you add glass coverage, it will pay to fix damage to your windshield.

Does your vehicle spend a lot of time outdoors?

Auto Pak's comprehensive or specified perils coverage allows you to lower your deductible for hail damage. It's even waived for fire or lightning damage - or damaged due to theft of your entire vehicle.

Does being without wheels cramp your style?

Loss of Use coverage provides a rental vehicle if you're in an accident - keeping you on the road even if your vehicle is in the shop.

Did you just buy a new car?

Protect your investment by purchasing Replacement or Repair Cost coverage.

If you answered Yes to any of these questions you probably need more auto insurance.

By having the right Auto Pak policy you can protect yourself from loss above and beyond what your basic plate insurance covers.

Purchasing Auto Pak?

To determine what amount of protection is right for you, your insurance broker will ensure you know about all the options available to you so you can customize an insurance package that meets your needs.
