Oil and gas industry

Our SGI CANADA Energy Pak policy provides coverage for specific areas of the oil and energy industry including oilwell battery operators, oilwell pumpers, gas compressor station operators, oilfield consulting and oil/gas lease site maintenance and oilfield trucking operations.

Protection of property - core coverage

1. For battery operators, oilwell pumpers, gas compressor station operators, oilfield consultants and oil/gas lease site maintenance:

• $25,000 – miscellaneous contractors’ equipment: whether loaned or rented, for a period not exceeding 31 days.
• $10,000 – miscellaneous property: consisting of hand tools, laptop computers, location devices and property of others for which you may be legally liable.
  • replacement cost (applicable to items 5 years or newer)
  • business use of all-terrain vehicles
  • ice and Muskeg coverage
  • $1,000 deductible

2. For oilfield trucking operations:

• $10,000 – miscellaneous property: consisting of hand/trucker tools, laptop computers, location devices and property of others for which you may be legally liable up to a limit of $2,500 per item.
  • replacement cost (applicable to items 5 years or newer)
  • $1,000 deductible
• $50,000 – transportation insurance: limit is for 1 vehicle, but can be increased if you have more than 1 vehicle.
  • Loading and unloading extension included

Liability protection for all operations

Our oil and energy insurance provides $2 million commercial general liability coverage in the event you’re found legally responsible for injuries or damages suffered by another party. This amount can be increased.
