SGI CANADA provides real-time rating for small package commercial-lines business directly within Policy Works

Nov. 17, 2011

SGI CANADA and Policy Works Inc. are ecstatic to announce the release of a real-time rating solution that begins and ends within the Policy Works Commercial Management System desktop environment. SGI CANADA brokers using the new Policy Works Commercial Management System, available this December, will be able to receive a real-time rate on small business packages such as Energy Pak, Toolbox Pak, Trades Pak and Value Pak from directly within the Policy Works system.

"Providing real-time rating for our small business packages results in brokers having all the information available immediately in order to close the sale rather than waiting for a rate to be returned. Time saved with small business packages means more time is available to service larger accounts," says John Dobie, Vice President of Canadian Operations, SGI CANADA. "SGI CANADA is committed to finding ways to make it easier for brokers to do business with us. We feel an important part of that commitment will be delivered with eServices and tools such as Policy Works."

"We are thrilled to bring real-time rating to the Canadian market with SGI CANADA. Our real-time rating solution provides brokers with a streamlined workflow to more effectively manage the higher-volume, lower-profit realities of small business packages," states Kevin Campbell, President, Policy Works Inc. "It is a pleasure to work with SGI CANADA to develop functionality that strengthens the independent broker network."

SGI CANADA is a member of the Policy Works Certified Data-Exchange Partner (CDEP) program. The CDEP program ensures that commercial data is exchanged between insurers and Policy Works in an accurate, reliable, and secure manner. Policy Works Inc. and all CDEP partners are committed to working with the CSIO standards.
