Community-based initiatives
We’re pleased to support many community-based initiatives across the province every year. From raising awareness about traffic safety to contributing to the province's art scene, we are dedicated to making Saskatchewan a more vibrant place to live.
Corporate donations program
Our involvement in these events will focus on investing in the following community initiatives:
- crime prevention
- fire prevention
- sports
- special events
Crime prevention
The definition of crime prevention for purposes of this program include programs such as Crime Stoppers, Citizens on Patrol and initiatives of law enforcement organizations. Crime prevention also extends to organizations and initiatives that serve to assist the underprivileged, particularly youth, which will help circumvent situations that may lead to criminal behavior.
Fire Prevention
In an effort to decrease possible claims costs, we will assist in programs that increase awareness of, and focus on, fire prevention. This will include support for firefighting organizations, smoke alarm programs and fire safety education for children. It may also include support for emergency preparedness initiatives. These funds will not be used for capital projects.
Sports
We investigate opportunities to partner with sports organizations at the provincial or league level where opportunities exist for visibility in local communities. For example, the corporation may enter into a partnership with a provincial league in order to have signage at every community rink or branding on every team uniform in Saskatchewan. The corporation will also investigate naming or signage opportunities with sports facilities in larger communities that host a variety of sports activities and attract large audiences.
Special events
We seek to sponsor special events and organizations in Saskatchewan communities that provide an opportunity to promote brand awareness to large audiences through public and media exposure. The corporation will participate in events that are meaningful to our broker force in their local communities and also in national events that spotlight Saskatchewan.
