Your first step is to contact your SGI CANADA Insurance Services Ltd. broker. Use our convenient Broker Locator. Your broker will have all the details of your insurance coverage and will record the details of the claim you're filing.
If it's an auto claim
Collisions happen! So don't panic. After you ensure everyone is safe, contact emergency officials if needed. If other motorists are involved and it's possible, get their names, along with the jurisdictions and numbers of their driver's licences and licence plates. It's also very important to get the names and contact information of any witnesses who may have seen the collision or incident.
After that, contact your SGI CANADA Insurance Services Ltd. broker, who will forward your claim to us. We'll contact you within two business hours and provide the name of an adjuster who will look after your claim as quickly as possible.
If it's an injury claim following a motor vehicle collision
Your SGI CANADA Insurance Services Ltd. broker will forward your claim to us. We'll contact you within two business hours and provide the name of an injury representative who will look after your claim as quickly as possible.
The injury representative will contact you to gather information about your injury, explain exactly what will happen during the injury claim process and advise you of the benefits you're entitled to receive.
You'll be required to complete a benefits application form. Your doctor, physiotherapist or chiropractor must indicate the cause and nature of your injuries. Further reports may be required from your caregiver throughout the injury claim process.
Property claim

If you've suffered a property loss, contact your broker, who will forward your claim to us. We'll contact you within two business hours and provide the name of an adjuster who will look after your claim as quickly as possible.
