SGI CANADA holds amateur photo contest
June 20, 2011
SGI CANADA is giving amateur photographers a chance to win $500 and have their work displayed in over 100,000 homes and businesses.
SGI CANADA has partnered with its team of independent insurance brokers to solicit entries for the 2012 SGI CANADA brokers’ calendar, featuring the theme It’s a Good Life.
“We chose this theme because, as an insurance company, we help protect the things you cherish that help make a good life - whether it’s your wonderful home, the cottage you escape to on the weekend or the car that takes you in between,” said SGI CANADA President and CEO Andrew Cartmell. “But we know it’s not always about ‘things’. Sometimes a photograph captures a special moment in time that reminds us of how good life is.”
Thirteen photographs will be chosen for the calendar, with the lucky winners each receiving a $500 honourarium.
The calendar, which has been produced annually for over 25 years, is used mainly as a marketing tool by SGI CANADA brokers across Canada, with over 100,000 distributed each year.
The deadline for entries is July 31, 2011. For full information on how to enter, see the contest page.
