Enter the Cultural Wonders calendar photo contest today
Help us get to know you a little better by sharing photos of cultural experiences with us.
The 2013 SGI CANADA brokers' calendar theme is Cultural Wonders. We're inviting you to send us photos celebrating the cultures of the world, especially those that are important to you.
"It's about celebrating the multicultural fabric of Canada," said Toni Ennis, Manager of Promotions and Advertising. "Our diverse communities give us the unique opportunity to experience, and take pride in, varied cultural identities and backgrounds."
"The calendar theme is about emphasizing the great cultural wonders of the world!" she added. "That can mean cultural festivals, foods, dress or even customs. It even means cultural places you've visited or photos that illustrate the different cultures of the world, at home or abroad."
Winning selections will be published in the 2013 brokers' calendar and winners will receive a $500 prize.
Sending photos is easy
All you have to do is email the photo submission to calendar@sgicanada.ca. Be sure to read the submission rules and guidelines before submitting.
The deadline for submissions is July 31.
Help promote the contest
Are you part of an amateur photo club or community group with cultural activities? Want to help with cultural awareness within your service group?
Tell your members about the Cultural Wonders photo contest. There's even a poster (pdf, 1.7 mb) you can print off and display.
Voting online
As an added benefit, we'll be posting all photos on our Flickr page. You can see and vote for all the photos entered and encourage your friends to vote for a fan favourite - which will be used as a future SGI Facebook cover photo!
SGI CANADA's broker network will be selecting the winning photos for the calendar.
